THE ORIGIN
BarkeepShift was built out of a direct observation of how bars and restaurants actually manage scheduling — mostly through group texts, spreadsheets, and word of mouth. The existing tools on the market were either too expensive, too complex, or built for full-service restaurants with HR departments, not a bar manager running a team of 8.
The goal was simple: build the scheduling tool that a bar manager would actually use from their phone during a shift. No bloat, no enterprise onboarding, no annual contract. Just the features that matter — build a schedule, approve shift trades, message your crew.
BarkeepShift launched as part of the SimpleSaaS worker network, deployed globally on Cloudflare Workers with a flat $12.99/month pricing model. No seat-based pricing, no tier confusion — one plan, everything included.
